The infamous WorldStarhiphop.com's website went down today and one man is claiming responsibility, 50 Cent. Earlier today 50 cent tweeted "I don't know why people underestimate me. I just shut down WORLDSTAR for future advertising contact thisis50.com suckers lol." In the Feb/March issue of The Source Magazine they speak about other Hip Hop sites that have dropped after an investigation by the ICE Government/Homeland Security.
50 Cent has had previous issues with WorldStarhiphop.com's. Back in 2009 50 Cent stated, "I got a lawsuit against WorldStar for utilizing my likeness, a lot of people felt like that was my site because they seen my face on the cover of [the website] for a long time.”
Over 2 years ago 50 vowed, "I have lawyers on retainers and I have to pay them so much money anyway, so we’ll go back and forth to court until [they] can’t afford a Subway sandwich. It’s already too late for [them].” You can't blame him right?
We will be following the WorldStarHipHop.com issue and will see if 50 really has the power. "No site is safe, I predict 2 more web sites will shut down this week. Take a guess who they are. I'm sick of the hate I'm too strong, 50 noted." We wonder who's next?
