**NEW** Ghostra Nostra - Heart on my sleeve

Heart on My Sleeve shows the softer emotions of hardcore rapper Ghostra Nostra. Released before the Spring, the season of love, and just after the holiday of love, Heart on My Sleeve takes any listener through the emotional roller coaster of being in a relationship . The progression of his songs create a simi story line plot of a realistic complicated affair. The expression of deep feelings in "Woman of my World" and "Faithful" convey true love. Then Ghostra takes the listener to the difficulty of regret and infidelity in "I was Wrong" and "Lil Does She Know". Lastly emotions of sympathy arise in "Walk Away". All of these songs vary in range of ganre unlike typical hip hop albums with touches of slow R&B, Pop and the geo- cultural influence of Go Go. Throughout this album, Ghostra creatively vocalizes his affection, by combining his rap and singing skills in songs like "Childish games". The compilation of tracks genuinely reveals all of Ghostra's sentiments lyrically and melodiously. He artfully opened up and truly wore his heart in his sleeve. Heart on My Sleeve shows the softer emotions of hardcore rapper Ghostra Nostra. The Power of the Mind...(By Bianca Lynnette)

How many of you were told as a child, “You can be anything you want to be!”? This statement is so very true.  We underestimate the power of the mind and the fact that we ultimately are in control of our own fate. How many times have you been superseded by someone that had a more positive outlook on the situation than what you had yourself?  To be honest this method begins at a very young age.  Take a look at a child that has uplifting parents; parents that tell their children at the age of 3 that they can do anything as long as they put their minds to it, and they kept that mind set throughout their lives.  Then look at a child who’s parents believed in the “try once then give up” method; pretty much cutting off the fulfillment of their dreams because the child then becomes immune to giving up.  In actuality it’s not about having the most money, or what neighborhood you came from, all of those are just means for motivation; it’s all in the power of the mind.  If you have a sales job and you tell yourself in the morning you are going to make 10 sales that day and you mean it, guaranteed you are going to make 10 sales that day! For one, by looking yourself in the mirror and saying so kind of makes you feel like you are making a commitment to yourself, and just that alone will give you the motivation to succeed…who what’s to feel like they failed themselves?  Second of all, you have to learn to speak life into yourself.  Build yourself up every day, that’s where your power comes from as well.  Every morning when I wake, the first thing I do is thank God for waking me up, before leaving my bed I pray for divine favor, wisdom, peace, strength and provision, then I go into the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror and tell myself I am and I will be!! Meaning I am anything I say I am and I will be successful at whatever it is that I put my all into.  If you wake up in the morning with that old yeah yeah type of attitude and your placing your day solely on a hope or a maybe, unfortunately you may not get that far.  You have to know that you know and be confident in it.  Last but not least, you can’t really consider it, “The power of the mind” unless you install some powerful things into it!  Reading up on different topics and educating yourself, reading your inspirational and keeping up with your daily word all contributes to building up your powerful mind.  Believing in yourself and setting your mind to a positive state will get you so much further in life than you could ever imagine!  As they say in the NAACP…”A mind is a Terrible thing to waste”. –Bianca Lynnette

Uplifting your mate...(By Bianca Lynnette)

Uplifting your mate…
Relationships are not like back in the day when we would uplift one another and be each other’s support in every aspect.  In this day in age we have competitive relationships where you have one mate trying to “out shine” the other.  Now there is nothing wrong with an uplifting competitive mate because there you have your motivation; but a mate that see’s you trying to do something good with your life or improve yourself and they say things like, “I don’t know why you’re doing that, you’re never going to make it”, or “You ain’t worth two pennies!”.  Phrases like those can kill a person mentally, leaving them with low self esteem and as you can imagine that is nowhere near a healthy relationship.  We have to learn to uplift our mate, speak life into our mate just as we would like for them to do to us.  Even in times where it may look as if there is no tomorrow in certain situations or your mate may come home with a new idea and in the back of your mind you’re like, “What the heck is he/she talking about”; but you never want to be a dream killer.  Always inspire them to follow their dreams and actually take interest in their dreams and desires.  Showing interest just tells your mate that you are really their number one support system; that gives them drive to make it happen because now they feel that they have a reason to do it.  Even when it comes to compliments, they are the major source in uplifting.  Me personally being a woman, mother of four, employee, provider and inspirer, I need that uplifting source in my life just to keep me going.  Wearing a lot of hats sometimes causes you to forget who you are and when your mate recognizes and reassures you of how beautiful you are or notices how elegant that new dress you purchased and thought he didn’t notice is, that makes your day so much brighter!  This also applies to our wonderful men.  Yes I know the old saying is a man is supposed to do this and is supposed to do that but they have feelings just as we ladies do.  What man wouldn’t want to come home to an uplifting woman that assures him his place as a man?  Invigorate him with words of encouragement; instead of always waiting for him to ask you how your day went, change the pace a little and ask him about his day and take time out to listen to him.  Men love when they can confide in their woman, it makes them feel like they are understood and that also eliminates the chance of him confiding in another woman.  Do you think there would be an Obama with Michelle? Or a Heathcliff  Huxtable without a Claire?  Beside every powerful man is an uplifting woman, telling him he can do it and not allowing him to settle for less than he deserves.  You have to be that source of encouragement for your mate at all times, not just when everything looks peaches and cream.  An uplifting spirit is a well spirit and it brings life to every relationship in its path, so bring life to your relationship and make it a must to uplift your mate!-Bianca Lynnette
